Michelle is a figurative artist, working initially from observation and using this gathered information to further her ideas for paintings. Her subjects are also drawn from her eclectic sketchbooks which are a prominent source of material in her process.

Her work has a sensitive and often understated quality, reflecting the subtle shifts of light and colour in the British landscape. Some paintings are a quick response, others crafted over time, adding and subtracting to the paint surface until the initial idea is somehow made real.

Her work has been exhibited widely over 25 years in solo and mixed exhibitions and she has exhibited regularly with the ROI, as well as showing with NEAC, ING and RBSA.
