Kathleen Crow ROI

Kathleen Crow ROI (1920-2020)

Kathleen was born in 1920 Oxton, Nottinghamshire, where she lived her whole life. She took a part-time course in Fine Art at Nottingham Art College with Ronald Thursby and later with Leslie Goodwin.

Kathleen grew up with the love of the Land and the countryside around her. The Land work she did during the war years helped her understand the landscapes that she  painted, trying to portray mood and atmosphere. Being a ‘mood’ painter, Kathleen also turned to abstraction in her work.

As well as being a Full Member of the ROI since 1988, Katherine was also an Emeritus Member of the Nottingham Society of Artists.
