Workshop overview

You can work in oil, acrylic and watercolour, bring your own materials.

Philip James ROI will guide you through aspects of composition, arrangement and treatment of subjects. Looking at detail, observation and the play of shadow.

Philip James ROI’s practice as a painter spans fifty years, beginning with landscapes made on site in Sussex, Cornwall and the Lake District in the mid 1960s, leading to city views of London and Paris. He has worked on corporate commissions for businesses in the UK and USA, and regularly undertakes private portraits of individuals, families and children, working at his Islington studio.

Attendees to bring their own materials.
