The ROI preview on Tuesday 1st December was a hugely successful day with many wonderful paintings to discover. The show is on until the 13th December at the Mall Galleries and ends at 1pm. Many congratulations to those who won awards on the day and to all the artists who had their paintings accepted into the show. Below are the prize winning paintings for you to enjoy. Winsor and Newton Young Artist Award First prize (£1000) went to Bernadett Timko for her Self Portrait.

The Winsor and Newton Second Prize (£600) went to Andrew Farmer for his Self Portrait.

…and the Winsor and Newton Third Prize (£400) was won by Harriet Spratt for her portrait “Ben.”

Well done to all the young artists in the show – truly outstanding work! The L.Cornelissen and Son Prize went to Roger Dellar ROI for his painting below “The Cocktail Bar, RAC.”

The Artist Magazine Award was won by Richard Combes ROI for his painting “Paint Brush” The DAS Award winner was Peter Graham ROI for his painting “Age of Elegance”

Michael Weller won the Le Clerc Fowle Medal with his painting “February Pears”

 Clive Burnell won the Menena Joy Schwabe Memorial Award with the painting “Horseshoe.”

Bernadett Timko with her wonderful Self Portrait won the Phyllis Roberts Award seen at the top of this post – well done! The Winsor and Newton Non-member Award was won by Bruce Williams with his painting “Whitstable Bay”
