ROI represented at AGBI Event
Posted on July 10, 2015

On Tuesday 7th July three ROI members were invited by the AGBI to the Royal Academy in London to celebrate fundraising efforts by nominated stewards for the current year. David Pilgrim ROI was nominated as this year’s steward for the ROI and raised funds by requesting donations from fellow members and selling two of his own paintings in an online auction. All proceeds from the sale were donated to the AGBI and also Macmillan Cancer Support. Also representing the ROI at the event were Graham Webber ROI (nominated as the steward for the coming year) and ROI President Ian Cryer. It was a great occasion, learning about the ways the charity has helped people, chatting with stewards/representatives from other FBA societies and enjoying a marvellous lunch together in the Senate Rooms of the Academy. The AGBI (http://www.agbi.co.uk/) does a great deal for artists and their families in need and has helped many people who are in extremely difficult circumstances. Please do give your support to Graham this year in his efforts to raise further funds on behalf of the ROI.
