The ROI would like wish Kathleen Crow ROI a very happy 100th birthday!
Kathleen was born in 1920 in Oxton, Nottinghamshire (where she still lives) and studied part time fine art at Nottingham Art College with Ronald Thursby and later with Leslie Goodwin.
Kathleen grew up with the love of the land and the countryside around her. The land work she did during the war years helped her understand the landscapes that she now paints, trying to portray mood and atmosphere. Being a mood painter she also turns her thoughts to abstraction.
Kathleen was made a full member of the R.O.I in 1988.
Many congratulations Kathleen and we hope you have a fabulous 100th birthday!
